Each December I look forward to reading and praying the beautiful
words of Advent Preface II.

As I grow older I try even harder to remember that Jesus is the one
foretold by prophets. I add my feeble yearning to Mary's powerful
longing for Christ with love beyond all telling and sing of his coming
with John the Baptist and exult with all those around me in hymns
of joy and praise for the glory of Emmanuel, God with us!

Joseph, too, rejoices in the dream, and when he awoke, he did
as the angel of the Lord had commanded and took his wife into
his home.

Indeed, heaven and earth are full of the glory of Jesus, the
Word Incarnate!
