Ponderings of Grace from Saint Mary-by-the-Sea, Feast of the Epiphany

Feast of the Epiphany

January 8, 2012

Matthew 2:1-12

“ We saw his star at its rising and have come to do him homage.”   Matthew 2: 9-10

“….I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream…” Mary Oliver

Just as the energy of the star drew the Magi to the place where the child was born, allow yourself to image the stars and hunger for God’s light as you either hold an intention in your heart, chant a mantra, sing a song, dance a dance, write in a journal, draw a picture or ……

Allow God’s light from the stars to share energy with you and draw you within yourself to ask:

What is God’s deepest dream for me?

What would I have to do to have God’s dream for me come true?

“Let me keep company always with those who say ‘Look!’ and laugh in astonishment, and bow their heads.”

                                                                                                                                        Mary Oliver
