On this feast of Saint Benedict, let us thank God for the gift he gave us in prayer and service to the neighbor. May we imitate Benedict in his love of God and neighbor in our daily lives by being attentive to the needs of the poor and serving them with great compassion and love.

I thank my God for this great saint.
