Ponderings of Grace - Second Sunday of Easter

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked,
where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood
in their midst and said to them, "Peace be with you".

A week later, Jesus came again to the disciples and to doubting Thomas
and said to them, "Peace be with you."

Like Thomas, Jesus has offered me that unconditional gift of peace repeatedly.

In this season of Easter and the renewed gift of peace, where am I invited
by the God of Second Chances to offer this gift of peace...

- to the aggressive driver near me?

- to the narcissistic family member?

- to the colleague whose tastes are different than mine?

- to the friend from whom I have drifted a bit?

- to the spiritual leader who hasn't met my expectations?

- to myself for repeated failings?

- to...............?

Jesus, may I express my gratitude for your peace in my life by offering it over and over again to others.
