Today's Gospel begins with Jesus' being filled with the Holy Spirit and being led by the Spirit into the desert. Perhaps it was the Spirit within which enabled him to cry out in faith, "Be with me, God,... I am in trouble" at each of the temptations.

What circumstances and occasions in my life prompt me, in faith, to cry out, "Be with me, God..."?

In this Year of Faith, how is my heart being put right with God?
