I will place my law within them and write it upon their hearts;
I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31Unless a grain of wheat... John 12
The seed of our identity, the heart where we are most the one God dreamed us to be will indeed be broken open by life. On this Lenten journey, we find ourselves reassured that the law written in our hearts is God's promise that death is a pathway to new life. We can trust our covenant God to make good that promise.
Will I open to the mystery this day, in my specific circumstances?
What will help me to trust?
Can I gently hold both the pain of diminishment and the hope of new life at work in me?
